Talents
Talents provide passive bonuses to rewards, quests, competitive modes, and other parts of the game. The system becomes available at 10,000 experience points. As your total experience grows, you earn Talent points that can be allocated to unlock and upgrade talents. Standard talents are divided into three specialisations: Ensign, Commodore, and Admiral. They become available at 10,000, 100,000, and 1,000,000 experience points respectively. Only one specialisation can be active at a time. Once you save your first talent, that specialisation remains active until you reset your talents. Most talents can be upgraded several times. Each level improves the talent's effect, while later upgrades usually require more Talent points. Points are allocated only after you save your changes. Resetting your talents removes all active upgrades and makes their points available to spend again. You receive one free reset each season; further resets cost Honour points based on the number of Talent points currently in use. Custom talents are a separate specialisation that becomes available once your equipment quality reaches 100%. Instead of upgrading a fixed list, you collect individual talents with different types, rarities, affixes, and requirements, then choose which ones to place in your available slots. Custom talents have their own creation and upgrade systems.
